The drills underneath all list a duration that fits inside one block of this session, so you can slot them straight into the shape above.

A 12 minute warm up for a 75 minute session
Seventy-five minutes suits U13s upwards, so the warm up can prepare the body properly as well as the touch.
- 1
Raise, activate, mobilise
5 minChannel work: jog, side shuffle, open the gate, lunge with rotation, two build-up runs.
- 2
Passing squares
4 minGroups of six, two balls, receive across the body, raise the tempo.
- 3
Competitive rondo
3 min5v2, pressers score by playing the ball out of the square.
Water break after the warm up, then straight into the theme.
What the extra 15 minutes buys you
Compared with an hour, seventy-five minutes gives you room for a phase of play between the practices and the match. That is where players start to see their position in the team rather than just the drill.
Do not use the extra time to add a fourth drill. Add depth to the theme instead.

Common questions
Is 75 minutes too long for youth football?
For U12 and below it usually is. From U13 upward it works well, provided the intensity varies and players get water breaks between blocks.
