Setup

  1. 1Rebound board or wall with two cones as a target gate.
  2. 2Player starts 8 yards from the board.
  3. 3Two balls so work never stops.

Coaching instructions

Coaching points

  • -Ankle locked, contact through the middle of the ball
  • -Receive across the body on the back foot
  • -Aim at a specific target on the board, not just at it
  • -Keep the rhythm quick between touches

Common mistakes

  • -Toe-poking the pass
  • -Standing square when receiving
  • -Letting the ball die under the feet
