U7s drills
Football Drills for U7s
290 football drills suitable for U7s, filtered from the full Football Coach Hub library.
U7s are moving into 5v5 football, so dribbling and running with the ball matter far more than passing patterns. These practices give players hundreds of touches, then put those touches into 1v1 and 2v2 games where they have to decide for themselves.
Every practice below lists its age band, player numbers, duration, area size, ability level and the kit you need, so you can pick something that fits tonight's U7s session rather than adapting it on the pitch.

Common questions
What should U7s work on in training?
Individual ball skill: dribbling, turning, running with the ball and 1v1s. Passing arrives naturally once players can control the ball under light pressure.
Should U7s play 5v5?
Yes. In England U7 and U8 play 5v5, so use small-sided games of 3v3 and 4v4 in training to mirror match day.
