Working out fair minutes
How do I plan fair substitutions?
Divide total pitch minutes (players on pitch × match length) by squad size to get each player's fair share, then plan who comes off each period before kick-off.
Example: 9 players for 7v7 over 50 minutes?
7 × 50 = 350 pitch minutes. 350 ÷ 9 ≈ 39 minutes each, so each player sits out about 11 minutes.
