  2. 2. Striker turns with one touch and shoots with the second.
  3. 3. Alternate the turning side each rep.
  4. 4. The team in possession starts each rep in their own half and must build forwards.
  5. 5. Turnovers earn a direct counter at the mini goals worth two points.

Setup

  1. 1A receiving cone 20 yards out facing away from goal in a 34 x 28 yards area.
  2. 2Place two mini goals on the halfway line for the counter-attacking side to aim at.
  3. 3Balls with the server, keeper in goal.

  • -Counter in a straight line — the first pass forward beats the recovery run

Common mistakes

  • -Too many touches before the shot
  • -Turning into the crowded side
  • -Dribbling into traffic when the counter is on
