  2. 2. Two new defenders enter from the side each time it flips.
  3. 3. Continuous for eight minutes.

Objectives

  • -Break at speed in an overload
  • -Make the right pass at the right moment
  • -Defend and delay while outnumbered

Setup

Coaching instructions

Coaching points

  • -Run forward with the ball when space is ahead
  • -Runners stay wide to stretch the two defenders
  • -Release the pass before the defender commits
  • -Defenders delay centrally, never both press the ball

Common mistakes

  • -Over-passing instead of driving forward
  • -Support runners too close to the ball
  • -Defenders diving in and being beaten
