Setup
- 1A pitch with a goal to defend and two counter goals on halfway in a 48 x 38 yards area.
- 2Mark a second target area at the opposite end so the practice can flip direction instantly.

Coaching instructions

- 2The defending team stays compact and counters into the halfway goals.
- 3Swap roles every five minutes.
- 4Coach serves a loose ball into the middle and both teams react to win it.
- 5On every turnover the winning team has six seconds to attack the opposite target.
Coaching points

- -Delay rather than dive in
- -Counter as soon as the ball is won
- -First reaction after the turnover decides the moment — forward or secure
Common mistakes
- -Chasing the ball out of shape
- -No outlet after winning the ball
