Objectives
- -Receive cleanly with pressure arriving from any angle
- -Improve awareness of space before the touch
- -Play out quickly under pressure
Setup
- 1A ring of servers with two receivers working inside in a 18 x 18 yards area.
- 2Place a marker at every receiving position so players know where to set the ball before it arrives.
- 3Balls with alternate servers, bibs for the chasers.
Coaching instructions
- 1A server plays in and calls the receiver's name at the same time.
- 2The receiver must take a controlled touch and return the ball to a different server.
- 3Working players rotate out every 45 seconds.
- 4Ball enters from the coach and the first receiver is on two touches from that moment.
- 5Count completed sequences under the touch limit — best of three 3-minute rounds.

- -Move to the ball rather than waiting
- -Angle the body to see the next option
- -Firm return pass
- -First touch out of the feet and into the direction of the next pass

- -Receiving flat-footed
