Setup

  1. 1One full goal with a keeper on the line.
  2. 2Three cones marking shooting positions: left, central, right.
  3. 3Servers with a ball at each cone.

Coaching points

  • -Feet shoulder width, weight on the balls of the feet
  • -Hands out in front, never behind the body line
  • -Move on an arc, not across the goal line
  • -Set before the ball is struck, not during

Common mistakes

  • -Standing flat footed on the heels
  • -Diving too early and guessing
  • -Starting too deep in the goal
