Coaching points

  • -Look up immediately on the regain
  • -Attack the goal furthest from the recovering defenders
  • -Defenders block the central route first
  • -Find the pocket on the back foot of the defender
  • -Support the receiver quickly on both sides

Common mistakes

  • -Taking too long to decide
  • -Passing backwards on the turnover
  • -No one running beyond the ball
